Vintage MG
There were also a number of bodywork variations such as the TA Tickford, an example of beautiful coachwork. While the bodies of each model were distinctly different, there was a perpetual evolution of the internal components. I bought my MG TD and drove it home one Halloween night in the mid 1970's. Like a young know it all I attempted a restoration. To day it lies in pieces with lots of fresh chrome in a large plywood box in the front of my Ex's garage with her name on the title. Oh, what might have been !!! In the '70's I had a business associate that also fell in love with the breed. He collected perhaps 8 or 9 including a TA Tickford that he had meticulously restored. Then the unthinkable... the workshop/storage building where they were stored burned to the ground and all were lost. Believe it or not there is a modest link between the MG and the Shelby Cobra.
